iS Clinical Super Serum vs iS Clinical Pro Heal Serum
Both of these wonder products come from skincare giant iS Clinical. If you haven’t heard of iS Clinical before, all you need to know is that they are an American, results-driven, medical-grade skincare brand that uses mostly botanical ingredients.
In fact, their products are generally 95%-98% botanical based. They believe that nature knows best when it comes to skin. According to iS Clinical, their products are multi-taskers; this means they are effective at treating a range of skin concerns with just one product. Amazing for those who are on a budget!
Let’s talk about iS Clinical’s Super Serum first. This serum certainly lives up to its name. It really is super and has a tonne of amazing ingredients. The Super Serum contains vitamin C, copper tripeptide growth factors, hyaluronic acid, arbutin and a whole bunch of botanical antioxidants.
Vitamin C is used in skincare to help with pigmentation, blemishes and the signs of ageing. Copper tripeptide is a fantastic anti-ageing ingredient as it increases the production of collagen and elastin within the skin. Hyaluronic acid hydrates and plumps the skin - another great anti-ageing ingredient. Arbutin is a brightening agent used to help with dull and lacklustre skin.
iS Clinical’s Pro Heal Serum contains ingredients such as vitamin C, olive leaf extract, zinc sulphate and retinol. As mentioned previously, vitamin c is a fantastic ingredient to use in skincare. In this particular product, it has been included for its blemish healing and anti-ageing abilities.
Olive leaf extract has amazing healing and calming properties. Olive leaves can even repair damage to the skin and even promote new cell growth! Zinc sulphate is used in skincare as an antimicrobial agent. Antimicrobial agents are used to destroy any fungi, viruses or bacteria that might be living within the skin. Retinol is an anti-ageing must-have; it exfoliates the skin, unclogs pores and helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Although these two products share a few similar ingredients, they are targeted to different skin concerns. The Super Serum is designed for those who are looking to target anti-aging and are looking to brighten the skin. Whereas, the Pro Heal serum is for those who suffer from rosacea or acne (this can be applied on active acne!). Having said this, the Pro Heal serum would also be great for someone who is looking to prevent the signs of ageing due to the retinol and vitamin c within it.
The prices of these products don’t differ greatly (if at all, depending on the retailer). The 15ml version of both the Pro Heal Serum and the Super Serum retails at $95 while the 30ml sizes retail at $158. These products are quite a bit more expensive than ones you can buy from the drug store.
According to the company, though, the reason why they retail their products for more is due to the quality of the ingredients. iS Clinical uses the highest pharmaceutical grade ingredients that have been clinically tested. This means that whatever the bottle says it does (anti-aging and brightening in this case), it’s proven to deliver.
